Evolution of an outdated yard into a bespoke architectural landscape.

The Hopeland yard came to us at the end of its life — a failing flagstone patio, a sun-bleached pergola, dirt where the lawn had given up. Most landscapers would have demoed it. We didn’t lift a single stone. We built the new yard directly over the bones of the old one.

Dekorators ‘Sea Salt’ composite decking covers the old flagstone in one continuous plane. The original pergola was reframed and capped with custom-cut steel triangles that throw geometric shadows across the deck through a Texas afternoon. Two oversized steps drop into the yard — one carries a hand-set boulder fire pit cast into the composite.

Geometric poured-concrete pavers thread through American Synthetic Turf ‘Ultra Real’, set with native limestone boulders cast directly into the pour. Cantilevered steel planters with integrated COB lighting trace the perimeter; poured concrete curbs hold the line.
